UNITED NATIONS: It expresses deep concern about the prevailing Indian held Kashmir, Pakistan said Tuesday it is willing to engage in a comprehensive dialogue with India to normalize relations between the two countries to find an amicable solution to all outstanding issues including the main dispute of Jammu and Kashmir.
A peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions, taking into account the aspirations of the people of Kashmir would create a climate conducive to lasting peace and stability in South Asia, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said 192 members of the General Assembly of the United Nations during the general debate.
Jammu and Kashmir Dispute is about the right to self-determination of Kashmiri people, a referendum on free, fair and impartial manner, under UN auspices, he said.
In the past two months, more than 100 Kashmiris have been killed by Indian security forces in Kashmir.
In a speech covering a wide range of issues, ranging from the devastating floods that affected nearly the entire country, Palestine, climate change, Council reforms and gender equality against terrorism,
Mr. Qureshi countries speaking of economic recovery efforts. Security describes the recent floods as the worst in memory, which has killed thousands and destroyed crops and infrastructure, Mr Qureshi said: We are committed to building back better the dynamics and Pakistan, and to do transparent and accountable manner.
