MQM News

Pakistan, Karachi News : Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar on Thursday said his party party welcomed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan with good intentions and sincerity.

Addressing a press conference at Jinnah Ground post Imran’s visit, Sattar went on to say that Khan was showered with flowers in MQM’s traditional hospitable way, adding that there was only a minor quarrel after his departure.

The MQM leader further said an eye should be kept on such elements who wish to create differences between the PTI and MQM.

He also said that no unpleasant incident occurred during the PTI chief’s visit and MQM leaders themselves went up to Khan’s vehicle to greet him.

He said that MQM is surprised why Imran did not go to Yadgar-e-Shuhada before leaving for the airport. He added that preparations to welcome PTI were in progress since a day earlier on the orders of MQM chief Altaf Hussain.

Sattar went on to say they had prepared for Khan’s lunch and they also had gifts for the guests. He further said MQM is happy that Imran started his election campaign from Yadgar-e-Shuhada.

The MQM leader also said some leaders of the PTI made statements portraying as if they had doubts about MQM and Altaf Hussain’s sincerity. He said that Hussain’s gesture is very positive so no one should create misunderstandings between the parties.
