Pakistan News / Islamabad News : Federal Government of Pakistan is likely to issue an ordinance to set up a judicial commission for investigating alleged rigging in last general elections in Pakistan on Wednesday, E Pakistan News Reported.
Yesterday, all parliamentary parties endorsed establishment of the commission; however, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) opposed the move. Constitution of the body is a longstanding demand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf that blames ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz for rigging in 2013 elections.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Tuesday that political leadership has been taken into confidence, hoping that establishment of the commission will help end political deadlock.
According to sources, the government is likely to issue an ordinance following National Assembly session this evening to formally constitute the much-demanded body.
