Schools in Punjab to remain shut until Jan 24

Lahore News: Due to the security reasons Punjab educational institutes decided to extends the winter holidays in private and government schools, colleges and universities as schools are opened in different areas of Bannu, E Pakistan News Reported.

Government of Punjab issues the orders to increase the security of schools and educational departments and to make higher wall boundaries, to add security cameras and different gates at the entrance of main gates.

Sources told that in big cities of Punjab many schools mostly private schools are working to spread education among students without arrangement of proper security. Proper and official announcement of holidays will be issued on 10th January 2015 as holidays will extend or not.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has again clarified that it has not issued any notification for extension in winter vacation of the universities. It has been noticed that fake notifications are being circulated on behalf of HEC that are misguiding students, parents and staff of the universities.

Every university student and employee, whether the institution is public or private, should contact their respective universities to verify for how long their University will remain closed.
