Marches causing losses to Pakistan’s economy

Pakistan, Business News : Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan has suffered economic losses of RS450 billion due to ongoing protests being staged by Imran Khan and Dr. Tahir ul Qadri.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Dar said an IMF delegation has called off its visit to Pakistan due to security reasons. “IMF officials are surprised whatever is happening in Pakistan,” he said.

“Pakistan is progressing economically. What is the objective of this protest?” he asked.

Commenting on Imran Khan’s addresses, he said that there was a terrible situation in the country. “Some things are very strange,” he commented.

He was of the view that Nawaz Sharif may ask Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to step down.
