Pakistan News : In connection with the Independence Day, an impressive change of guard ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid, Karachi, where a smart contingent of Pakistan Navy took charge.

The nation is celebrating the day with enthusiasm and commitment to safeguard Pakistan against any threat and pledge to strive for country’s prosperity as per the vision of the founding father, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Commandant Naval Academy, Commodore Naved Ashraf, was chief guest of the ceremony. Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ibad Khan also visited Qauid’s mausoleum.

Earlier, the main flag hoisting ceremony was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad where President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif hoisted the national flag.

The ceremony was attended by the cabinet members, elected representatives, services chiefs and other senior civil and military officials.
