Pakistan, Lahore News : Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader, Dr. Tahirul Qadri Thursday called upon the people to remain alert for the call of ‘democratic and constitutional revolution’ in the country.
At a press conference here, Dr. Qadri refuted the reports suggesting that the revolution had been called off.
He said he was not aware of any Tsunami and that PTI Chairman Imran Khan himself could throw light on it. “I have only come to know that Imran Khan wants electoral reforms through his Tsunami,” he added.
He said the scope of PAT’s agenda is much bigger than demanding just electoral reforms. “Mere introduction of reforms in electoral process cannot change the fate of this country,” he argued.
Dr. Qadri said even if the Election Commission is reformed five times, the Sharif brothers would be able to buy it off. “No one can compete Sharif brothers in terms of their buying power,” he added.
He regretted that those responsible for Model Town incident still continue to serve on their positions, as no punitive action has been taken against them.
The PAT leader said although police themselves are culprits, they are posing to be an aggrieved party.
