Pakistan News : Around 30 terrorists have been killed in fresh pounding in restive tribal areas by Pakistan Air Force early morning on Saturday.
According to a press release issued by the ISPR, 30 terrorists were killed in targeted strikes by jet aircrafts in Khyber and North Waziristan Agencies.
“According to details at 0200 hours jet aircrafts destroyed two hideouts close to Pak-Afghan border in Khyber agency killing 10 terrorists,” the statement said, adding at 0500 hours three more hideouts were destroyed in Hassu Khel in North Waziristan Agency killing 15 terrorists.
“All strikes were made in areas where there is no civil population,” the statement asserted.
Over 250 insurgents have been killed since the start of the operation on Sunday, according to security officials, though it is not possible to confirm the number or identity of those killed.
The military offensive began after a bloody and dramatic attack on Karachi airport on June 8 that brought an end to months of largely fruitless government efforts to negotiate a peace deal with the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
