Rescue Operations have been completed

rescue operationPESHAWAR: Corps Commander Peshawar, Asif Yasin Malik, said rescue operations were conducted in areas affected by flooding.

The commander said the army has shown 65 and 58 medical camps in flood affected areas, while four general hospitals are also functioning to provide medical assistance to flood victims.

‘The Army also carries out operations against militants despite the floods, he added. It also says no U.S. pressure to launch a new military operation in Pakistan.

Malik said the decision to launch new operations against militants can not be considered in terms of national interests.
