Pakistan News : PM Nawaz Sharif took the notice of up to 15 percent increase in medicines prices and orders to revive the old rates.
The federal ministry of health issued a notification according to which prices of around 30,000 medicines of varied nature were raised by 2 to 15 percent with immediate effect. However, the prices of life-saving drugs were not increased.
Pharmaceutical firms had demanded the hike in the prices of various categories of medicines, sources said.
Today, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ordered the health ministry to withdraw new rates, stating that the hike “is unacceptable.”
