Politicians decided to stand united against missile strikes

Pakistan News : Politicians and analysts agreed on Monday to stand united against the US missile strikes in Pakistan and also stressed on the need to move in a right direction to overcome problems being faced by the country.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance Sirajul Haq said that the whole nation is against the attacks and the ongoing protest reflects the country’s stance. He further added that the protests would be extended to all cities of the country.

Haq said that the such attacks are the reason behind increasing terrorism and lawlessness in the country. “We want to end this war that is imposed on us,” he added.

The KPK minister urged the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government to change its policies.

Expressing views over the issue, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Faisal Sabzwari said that the KPK government is not doing anything but asking the federal government to stop missile attacks. “If the KPK government thinks that it is for the betterment of Pakistan, then why does it not stop the attacks itself?” he asked.

Sabzwari also condemned the Hangu attack, saying the attacks in the settled areas could not be tolerated.

Columnist and analyst Haroon-ur-Rasheed commented that this movement is intended to pressurize the US and the whole nation seems united on the one point and that is to stop missile attacks in Pakistan’s soil.
