NDMA warns provincial government of heavy rains

Pakistan News : A fresh warning has been issued by The National Disaster Management Authority asking provincial governments to evacuate people from low-lying areas over flood threats.

Sources told that, Lahore, Peshawar, Malakand, Rawalpindi, Dera Ghazi Khan, Dera Ismail Khan, Naseerabad and other district could receive heavy rains in the next two days. The rains, it said, could trigger flash floods.

The NDMA has put the provincial governments on alert. It said that provincial governments should take steps to evacuate people living in low-lying areas to safe places.
