Pakistan News : Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said all available resources and assistance would be provided to Balochistan government to restore peace in the province.
The minister said work on the new National Security Policy is underway and it will be announced soon.
He was briefing media persons along with Balochistan CM Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch after attending a meeting to review law and order situation in the province in the wake of deadly bomb blast which killed over 25 police personnel and other incidents of violence.
He said Pakistan Army will provide training and equipment to Balochistan Police to tackle the law and order situation. Five thousand SMGs will be provided to the security departments by the Army, Nisar added.
The Interior Minister maintained that there is a strong need of coordination among the law enforcement agencies. Ch Nisar announced to confer Gallantry Award to martyred DIG Fayyaz Sumbul who lost life in recent bomb blast.
