Presidential Elections started in Pakistan

Pakistan News : Elections for the selection of 12th President of Pakistan is started now on Tuesday, E Pakistan News reported.

The polling begun simultaneously at the Parliament House and the four provincial assemblies at 10:00 am and will end at 03:00 pm.

Officials said 1123 out of 1174 lawmakers are casting their votes in the Senate, National Assembly and provincial assemblies through secret ballot.

There is one-on-one contest between Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Mamnoon Hussain and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) nominee Wajhihuddin Ahmad.

The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court is presiding over the polling process at the Parliament House while the chief justices of the four provinces will preside over the process in the provincial assemblies.
