PPP urges PTI to boycott presidential elections 2013

Pakistan, Islamabad News : Chairman PPP Amin Fahim said PTI Chief Imran Khan should also boycott the presidential elections which is scheduled on Tuesday in Pakistan.

“Imran Khan should hit a last-ball six and boycott the presidential polls,”  while speaking to media persons after attending a meeting of PPP’s parliamentary party.

He was of the view that presidential polls were advanced to facilitate Nawaz Sharif who was to fly to Saudi Arabia.

Senior PPP leader Raza Rabbani said that the Election Commission was empowered, but it gave up its authority by inviting the judiciary. “How can a powerless ECP hold free and fair elections?” he questioned.

The PPP also staged a walkout from the National Assembly session.
