World News – Police in Bangladesh have arrested the acting editor of a pro-opposition newspaper on various charges.
Dhaka police official Masudur Rahman says they arrested Mahmudur Rahman on Thursday in a raid on the office of the Bengali-language Amar Desh newspaper.
He would not immediately say what charges would be brought against Rahman. The Ekattor TV station says he will face eight charges, including sedition and cybercrime.
