US supports TAPI pipeline project

US supports TAPI pipeline project

Pakistan News – US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson said Tuesday that his country supports the Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India (TAPI) pipeline project.

Olson was touring the Tarbela Dam where he inaugurated the new 128 MW power project. Speaking to the media, Olson said the US was providing assistance to Pakistan to meet the country’s energy needs. According to Olson, 900 MW will be added to the national grid due to US assistance.

The ambassador added that the US will be the largest fund provider for the Diamer-Bhasha Dam.
