Pakistan News – Sharmila Farooqi, who has been serving as advisor to the Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, was engaged with Hasham Riaz, son of former Additional Director General of FIA Ahmed Riaz Shaikh and Punjab MPA Shabina Riaz.
Farooqui’s father, Usman Farooqi, was a bureaucrat and former chairman of Pakistan Steel Mill. She is the niece of Salman Farooqi, a well-known confidante of President Asif Ali Zardari.Sharmila holds an MBA and a Master’s degree in Law. She is seen onscreen on different talk shows, always proving d herself as an asset for her party.
A colorful ceremony of engagement was held in Karachi where nears and dears of the couple extended their best wishes to the couple.
Classical singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan enthralled the event through his melodious voice.
