Pakistan, Islamabad News – Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry remarked that if the situation in Balochistan was not taken seriously, the problem can spread nationwide.
During proceedings of the Quetta carnage suo moto case, the Chief Justice criticized the Balochistan government for failing to reach the root of the problem and taking inadequate steps.
The Chief Secretary, IG Balochistan, Home Secretary, IGFC and all other officials have been directed to submit a joint report which should outline what steps have been taken to restore peace in the province.
Jafria Alliance leader, Allama Abbas Kumaili informed the apex court that the affected had not been provided compensation, adding that they wanted peace instead of compensation.
