Pakistan, Quetta News – Protests and rallies are being held across the country today against Saturday’s terror attack which left 80 people killed in Quetta.
Hundreds of people gathered in Lahore and staged a sit-in before Governor House. Participants of the sit-in called for the arrest of killers within 48 hours.
Shops, markets and business centers are lying closed in all major cities.
A three-day mourning is being observed in Sakurdu at the appeal of Shia Ulema Council (SUC) and Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM). There is complete shutter-down strike in the city. Tires were set on fire at some places.
In Hyderabad, all major business markets remain shut but small bazaars and petrol pumps are open. Flow of traffic is below normal on roads.
Various groups took out protest rallies in Nawabshah, Khairpur, Badin, Jacobabad and Kandhkot and staged a sit-in at Sheraz Chowk and Ghanta Ghar Chowk.
