Pakistan, Lahore News – Federation’s counsel Waseem Sajjad has said he didn’t tell the Lahore High Court that the president would leave political office.
Talking to media in Attorney General office, here on Thursday, Waseem Sajjad said that he only told the court that PPP is not a registered political party.
He said that dissolution of Election Commission Pakistan (ECP) is not easy, adding that only extra constitutional steps could lead to delay in elections.
Sajjad further said that the members of ECP could only be removed under article 209 of the constitution. A strong reference based on solid reasons is necessary for the removal of the commission’s members, he added.
