Kamran Faisal was seeing a psychiatrist

Islamabad News

Pakistan, Islamabad Updates : Kamran Faisal was receiving psychological treatment at the Poly Clinic from Dr Najma Aziz, sources have revealed.

Dr Najma has refused to record her statement for the investigation team probing Kamran Faisal’s death. Dr Najma has told the police investigation team that she has informed the head of the Poly Clinic of her intentions not to record the statement.

Meanwhile NAB Chairman Fasih Bokhari has agreed that an investigator from the bureau will be part of the team investigating the death of Kamran Faisal.

According to a NAB statement, officers from the Rawalpindi Branch of the bureau met Bokhari and informed him about their reservations regarding the investigation.

Earlier, NAB officers protested the death of Kamran Faisal and wore black armbands to show solidarity with their deceased colleague. Voicing serious reservations, the officers in a meeting held with Director General NAB Rawalpindi, Khurshid Anwar Bhinder, said Kamran’s mysterious death had raised grave concerns for them.

NAB officers have rejected the commission set up by the federal government to probe Kamran’s death and are demanding that a commission led by a Supreme Court judge be formed.

Kamran Faisal’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of a room in the Federal Lodges on January 18. He had been part of the team investigating the Rental Power case.
