Pakistan, Karachi News : Inspector General of Police Sindh Fayyaz Ahmed Laghari has directed the concerned officials of his department to undertake extraordinary security measures across the province on the eve of 5th death anniversary of slain PPP chairperson and former premier Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on Thursday, December 27.

As the people from across the country would go to Sindh in caravans to attend the anniversary programs at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto, the IGP ordered strict vigil at provincial borders and highways including the routes leading to Garhi Khuda Bux.

“Patrolling and snap checking should be intensified at highways besides increasing the number of police personnel at check posts to ensure safety of participants of anniversary programs,” he stressed.

IGP directed that parking of all kinds of vehicles in the vicinity of mausoleum at Garhi Khuda Bux should be banned. “The parking sites should be kept at certain distance and bomb disposal personnel should be deployed there. Moreover, strict check on suspected vehicles should be ensured,” he said. Agencies
