Karachi Bar Polls Postponed Due to Security Reasons

Pakistan, Karachi Updates : Karachi Bar Association’s annual elections postponed due to the tens and security reasons, E Pakistan News Reported.

The meeting which lasted for one hour and 17 hours, decided to defer the annual elections which have been rescheduled on December 19 (Wednesday).

Chief Election Commissioner District and Session Judge South Ahmed Saba presided over the meeting attended by presiding officers and discussed the situation.

Most petrol stations are currently closed posing troubles to the commuters and owners of vehicles alike. Citizens said no transport is available despite prolonged wait.

The areas acutely troubled include Joria Bazar, Saddar, Burns Road, MA Jinnah Road, Jamshed Road, Shahra-e-Faisal, Garden, Liaquatabad, Nazimabad, Azizabad, Orangi Town, Ayesha Manzil, Karimabad, North Nazimabad, People’s Chowrangi, Hyderi, Board Office, North Karachi, Surjani Town, Malir, Kala Board, Shah Faisal Colony and Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
