Karachi Goods Transporters Strike Due to Lack of Security

Pakistan, Karachi News : Due to the lack of security and load limits set by the motorway police United Goods Transporters Alliance continues for the sixth consecutive day.

Meanwhile the All Pakistan Cement Manufactures Association said that 15,000 tons of coal is delivered to factories in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on a daily basis which has been held back due to the strike. The association added that if the situation was not resolved, there could be a shortage of cement in the coming days.

The strike has also affected the supply of flour, sugar and vegetables to local markets.
