SC Issued Interim Orders in Karachi Violence Case

Pakistan News / Karachi Updates > In Suo moto case regarding the violence incidents and law and order situations in Karachi, SC has issued the interim orders on Tuesday, E Pakistan News reported.

The court has directed Chief Secretary Sindh to submit a detailed Revenue record comprising details of sale and lease of government land.

The court was told by Election Commission representative that working on redrawing of electoral constituencies in Karachi was underway.

The interim order was to be issued in the case on Monday, but all the justices could not sign it, therefore, the decision to render the interim order was deferred.

A 5-member larger bench led by Justice Anwar Zahir Jamali has been hearing the case in Supreme Court’s Karachi registry.

Election Commission, Rangers, Revenue department, Jail authorities and IG Police have presented their respective reports to the court in past hearings.
