Pakistan News / Lahore News > Three people arrested in sale of poisonous cough syrup Tyno that killed at least 17 people in Lahore, LHC sent accused on four day physical remand on Tuesday, E Pakistan News reported.

Police informed the court that a case had been registered under sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code after 16 people died of consuming poisonous cough syrup and that three suspects, including a distributor and two shopkeepers, were taken into custody.

Police produced the suspects in court and requested for a seven-day physical remand for further investigations.

The court after hearing the initial hearing sent the suspects into custody of Shahdara Town police on a four-day physical remand.

Reports told that Tyno was manufactured by Ricko Pharma, a local pharmaceutical company situated on Multan Road. The syrup contains active ingredients — Dextromethorphan+chlorpheniraminemaleate.
