PM Raja Expresses Serious Concern on Karachi Situations

Pakistan News / Karachi Updates > While chairing the Federal Cabinet meeting here today, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf said that federal government would extend all possible assistance to the provincial governments and directed that all possible measures be taken for the improvement of law and order situation in Karachi.

PM Raja Expresses Serious Concern on Karachi Situations

The Prime Minister requested the citizens to keep an eye on suspicious activities of miscreants and inform the law enforcement agencies about any such activity. He also urged the religious scholars to play their role in bringing peace to the city.


PM said that ”We are all mindful of the fact that extremism, militancy, intolerance, sectarian violence and terrorism, have posed a serious threat and challenge to our sovereignty, security and national cohesion”,


He also stated that , ”We, as a Nation, have to thwart sinister designs of the terrorists and the Government, would play its part in eliminating these elements”.



The PM, in his remarks, condemned the suicide attack on Rangers Headquarter in Karachi. The Cabinet also expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives in the cowardly act of terrorism. The concerned authorities have been directed for provision of best medical facilities for the injured.
