MQM Chief Welcomed the Malala Day Declaration

MQM Chief Welcomed the Malala Day Declaration

In a statement issued here, Altaf said the UN’s recent step will prove instrumental for a great boost to the education in Pakistan.

The entire world including Pakistani nation supports Malala, the Muttahida chief stressed adding she is a brave daughter of the nation; she enkindle the lamp of education in the darkness of ignorance.

UN’s Secretary General Ban ki-Moon, honoring Malala Yousufzai, a children rights activist based in Swat for her efforts for girls’ education, announced to globally observe November 10 as Malala Day.

Ban extended his support to the young girl and her fight for education, describing her as the “global symbol” of every girl’s right to an education.

He also said that “I am adding my voice to the messages from over one million people across the globe. Education is a fundamental human right. It is a pathway to development, tolerance and global citizenship,”
