Pakistan / Lahore News > Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa stated that federal government should obey the Supreme Court orders which was issued in the Asghar Ali Khan Case regarding the distribution of military funds, E Pakistan News reported.
While talking to the media in Lahore he told that “The court has not issued any fatwa against Pakistan’s armed forces, but it is wajib (compulsory) for the government to obey Supreme Court orders as the decision is very much clear,”
Khosa said that all accused in the case could be tried for treason under Army Act or Article 6 of the Constitution, subjected to a recommendation by the law ministry.
Governor of the Punjab also said “polluting the entire election process is violation of the Constitution and tantamount to treason.”
He said steps of the government formed after 1990 elections were unlawful and unconstitutional which needed parliament’s endorsement.
