A five-judge larger bench headed by Anwar Zaher Jamali, heard the case at SC’s Karachi Registry today.
Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Ghulam Abbas, Advocate General Sindh Abdul Fatah Malik, Additional Chief Secretary Interior Waseem Ahmed and Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police Mushtaq Shah appeared before the court.
Justice Anwar Jamali remarked that the government does not need any court order to conduct the land survey, in fact, it is part of their job to safeguard the government lands.
The court said that it kept waiting for 13 months to see how their rule ruling was being implemented. But no progress was made in any case by the authorities, it said.
