Heavey Rains in Pakistan Kill 89

Pakistan News / Heavy Rain > According to the latest reports about Rains at least 89 people have been killed across Pakistan on Tuesday, E Pakistan News reported.

Addressing a news conference here on Tuesday, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Dr. Zafar Qadir said that 89 people have been confirmed dead in torrential rains.

He said 33 people have died in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11 in Balochistan, seven in Punjab, four in Sindh, 31 in Azad Kashmir and three in Islamabad.

He claimed the death toll remained low due to advance measures adopted by the NDMA.

Due to heavy rain about 8, 575 houses also have been damaged.

The NDMA chief said nuclear installations are completely safe in Dera Ghazi Khan despite heavy rains.

Officials told that All damaged bridges in Dera Ghazi Khan will be restored today. They said that at least two weeks are required to plug the breach of Kachi Canal.
