Canals of Barrages Closed Due to Flood Fears

Pakistan News / Flood in Pakistan > According to the latest news updates about floods situations in Pakistan,  canals of nine barrages at four rivers have been closed due to flood fears, E Pakistan News reported.

IRSA told that ,  canals emitting from Guddu, Sukkur, Taunsa and Kotri barrages at Indus River have been closed, while canals of Head Tremo and Head Panjnad at Chenab River have also been closed.


Canals of Head Sulemanki and Head Islam at Satluj River were also closed.


According to IRSA, Tarbela Dam will be filled completely within two days as water level is 1548 feet, which is only two feet below from the highest level.


On the other hand water flow from Mangla Dam has also been reduced to 8000 cusecs.
