Nationwide Movement Announced Against Contempt Law

Pakistan News / Islamabad News > Lawyers announced Sunday they would embark on a countrywide movement against the Contempt of Court Act 2012.

The decision was at a meeting of Lawyers National Coordination Council (LNCC) under chair of Hamid Khan.

Lawyers attending the meeting termed the Contempt of Court Act as a conspiracy aimed at the judiciary.  The meeting decided that a strike would be carried out in the country on Thursday.
