Pakistan News / Business News > The Ministry of Finance has approved the summary envisaging increase in prices of all petroleum products except high speed diesel.
The government has decided to increase the prices of petrol by Rs1.41 per litre and of compressed natural gas (CNG) by Rs1.29 per kg from July 16 for the next fortnight.
From tomorrow, the new price of petrol will be Rs85.90 per litre, HOBC at Rs112.52 per litre, kerosene oil at Rs88.19 per litre and light diesel oil at Rs85.33 per litre. The notification about reduction in POL and CNG prices will be issued after midnight tomorrow.
Since domestic POL prices are linked with international prices, surging global market prices have pushed the government to pass on the increase from July 16, 2012 on to the consumers.
