Pakistan News / Islamabad News > The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has decided to act against petrol pumps’ owners for creating an artificial fuel shortage after government’s notification to cut prices of petroleum products.
OGRA Chairman Saeed Ahmed Khan said that the authority had been consistently receiving complaints of artificial petrol shortage.
“In view of these complaints, we have decided to initiate an action against the owners of petrol pumps,” he said.
He noted some petrol’s’ pumps owners apply hike in tariff without any delay, but in case of any reduction, they do the opposite.
The OGRA chief said new tariff would be strictly implemented after issuance of the notification.
