Pakistan News / Karachi News > Amir Jamat-e-Islami, Syed Munawar Hasan on Saturday vowed not to let the NATO supply routes reopen no matter how high a price needed to be paid for it.
He was addressing a meeting of Difa-e-Pakistan Council here at Idara Noor-e-Haq which was held under his chair. Amir Jamatud Dawa Hafiz Saeed, Chief Awami Muslim League Shaikh Rashid Ahmed and Allama Tahir Asharfi were among others who attended the meeting.
Briefing the media about the meeting, Munawar Hasan said the new date for holding a long march and other details will be finalized in the next meeting to be held in Akora Khattak on June 5.
He hoped that the entire nation would unite and stage a long march against the resumption of NATO transit routes.
Condemning the firing on Mohabbat Sindh rally in Karachi and the incident of shootout on a bus in Nawabshah, the JI Amir said the Pakistan People’s Party had right no right to govern the country.
“The US wants to crush our independence and sovereignty by converting the entire country into Salala,” he warned.
Jamatud Dawa Chief, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed replying to a question about Indian spy Sarabjeet Singh’s release said, there existed solid evidence proving Singh’s being a terrorist and a spy.
“Sarabjeet Singh’s release does not hold any guarantee for improvement in ties with India,” he said, adding a bilateral dialogue should be focused on real issues.
