Latest Pakistan News > Karachi News – Sindh Professors & Lecturers Association (SPLA) has called off the boycott of examinations after receiving security assurance from CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah.
Commissioner Karachi, Roshan Ali Shaikh conveyed CM’s message to the lecturers and professors’ body of Sindh.
Moreover, Controller Examinations, Anwar Ahmed Zai, in a statement also said that the examinations would be held as scheduled since SPLA has withdrawn the boycott.
Earlier, SPLA had announced to boycott the exams after students assaulted the Principal of National Government College Waseem Adil.
Reportedly the offenders are the members of two student organizations.
Adil bore the brunt of only taking action against the use of “unfair means” rampant in the exams across the country.
The inglorious perpetrators pounded the aged principal tearing his clothes off and turned his office into mess of broken furniture and smashed windowpanes.
In the wake of this tragic incident the SPLA had announced a boycott of intermediate exams from Thursday.
