Latest Pakistan News / Islamabad – Former Army Chief General Aslam Baig said that the affidavit submitted by former Mehran Bank chief Younus Habib is contrary to facts.
In his first-ever statement before the Supreme Court on Thursday that Younus Habib had been forced by former president late Ghulam Ishaq Khan and former army chief Aslam Beg to arrange Rs340 million in the national interest.
Appearing before a three-judge Supreme Court bench today, General (retd.) Mirza Aslam Beg said Habib has leveled false allegations in his affidavit to hide his own fraud.
Meanwhile, General Beg’s counsel Akram Sheikh submitted his client’s affidavit before the apex court.
