Latest Cricket News / London – Pakistani Fast bowler Muhammad Amir has been released from the London jail, He was serving a six-month punishment for spot-fixing after the 19-year old on Thursday, E Pakistan News reported.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the case publicly.
Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt and bowler Mohammad Asif are still serving their sentences after being convicted of fixing part of a test against England in August 2010.
Muhammad Amir also has a five year ban from the Cricket due to the spot fixing case. This bas was imposed by the International Cricket Council.
Amir elder brother said that We are happy at his release and he was also looking very happy and He also talked with the family on phone.
It is believed that Amir will stay in London for about 2-3 weeks to discuss an appeal against the ICC ban and then he will leave for Pakistan. He has visa to stay in the UK till the end of March.
