"My life's in danger" I might be killed, Haqqani

Breaking News/Islamabad: Former Ambassador Pakistan – US Hussain Haqqani quoted in an interview to a British Newspaper that “My life’s in danger” I might be killed, if he leave the official residence of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

Hussain Haqqani was forced to resign from his duty after that a US businessman Mansoor Ijaz claimed that he asked him to pass on a Memo-gate to the US government seeking to oust Pakistan Military leadership.

Haqqani who is at the centre of the memo scandal said the allegations against him are part of a “psychological war” against Pakistan’s civilian government by “certain powerful quarters.”

Haqqani said he has been branded a “traitor” and a “Washington lackey” by “powerful quarters” – a reference to the countries powerful ISI intelligence agency – and that he now fears he will be murdered like his friend, the late governor of Punjab, Salman Taseer, who was shot dead by one of his own security guards.
