Nuclear safety is Govt responsibility; Tehmina Janjua

Pakistan News/Islamabad: Spokesperson Foreign Office Tehmina Janjua has stated that the Pakistan Nuclear Program safety is state responsibility and having under effective command and control, there would be no compromise on it, E Pakistan News reported on Monday.

Tehmina Janjua was commenting over the allegation of Former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi which was he said Pakistan Nuclear program is not safe in President Asif Ali Zardari’s hand on November 27 at Ghotki address; where he join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

She said that after the implementation of 18 amendments; President has nothing to do at nuclear program and it’s completely commands and control of Prime Minister.

She also stated that the allegations against President are baseless regarding to nuclear program.

Spokesperson said our policy of maintaining believable minimum deterrence will be maintained. Under no circumstances can this national program‚ which is integral to Pakistan’s defence‚ be compromised.

The Government‚ the Armed Forces and above all the people of Pakistan are extremely committed to this objective.
