Latest News / Celebrities: The Famous Indian Ghazal Singer Jagjit Singh died on Monday, he was 70 years old and admitted in ICU Lilavati Hospital Mumbai and was suffering from brain hemorrhage, E Pakistan News Reported.
Jagjit Singh was born in 8 February1941 in Rajhistan. The got the title of The Ghazal King and he was also composer, activist and entrepreneur.
He sung in many languages like Hindi, Urdu, Nepali and Punjabi.
He was breathing with the aid of ventilator and also suffered from hypertension.
He was admitted in ICU Mumbai when he was died, he has many fans around the world, Jagjit left alone his family members and fans in the world.
Jagjit Singh come in the music industry at a time which was mainly conquered by Pakistani ghazal singers, and Indian singers were measured relatively lesser authentic than their Pakistani equivalents.
Jagjit Singh was the first Indian music director to use the technique of multi-track recording for his album ‘Beyond Time’.
He was admitted few hours before he was to perform with another ghazal expert, Ghulam Ali, in Mumbai.
Unlike other ghazal singers, Singh did not hesitate in lending his voice for films. His silky voice ruled during early 80’s in films like Prem Geet, Saath Saath and Arth. However, his major work is spread over more than 60 filmy and non-filmy albums.
