Pakistan News /Islamabad – Pakistan Government made a new restriction on Hajj Pilgrims that they have must been traveled only specified three airlines, PIA, Saudi Airline and Shaheen Airline, E Pakistan News Reported.
Government of Pakistan has been issued a notification imposing new restriction on the future Hajj Pilgrims.
Pilgrims no longer choose freely Airline of national or international for Hajj, they must traveled on specified Pakistan International Airline – PIA, Shaheen Airline and Saudi Airline.
The main cause of this restriction not clarified yet.
On the other hand, Pakistan government has issued orders that the pilgrims having tickets of airlines other than the above three blocked from traveling.
This restriction puts a question mark on the vision of thousands of Hajj Pilgrims who have already bought tickets from other airliners including Khaleej Airlines will travel to their destination.
It is a well-known fact that PIA does not have enough planes while limited numbers of seats are available with Shaheen Airlines and Saudi Airlines.
In this year, Hajj flights from Peshawar International Airport will start from September 30. There will be total 91 special flights, including 66 of Pakistan International Airline (PIA), 12 Saudi Airlines and 13 of Shaheen International.
The first Hajj flight will depart on Friday at 8:30 pm for Saudi Arabia.
This year a total of 28,000 pilgrims will leave through Peshawar Airport out of which 3,182 and 3,120 will travel through Saudi Airlines and Shaheen International respectively. The remaining pilgrims will travel through PIA flights.
