Earthquake jolts hit India, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh

Latest Breaking News: A powerful earthquake jolts hits India, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh States and around twenty killed on Sunday, E Pakistan News Reported.

USGS – United State Geological survey give details that earthquake was very strong and magnitude recorded 6.8 to 6.9 in different areas.

It was struck the small, landlocked Himalayan State of Sikkim, which was located on the borders of Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet approximately time 6:10 AM.

The Epicenter was just around 60 kilometers northwest of the Sikkim state capital of Gangotok.

After Earthquake power cuts in the area and spread darkness in the city.

The resident of the Gangtok told that there no electricity, everybody come out from their houses and gathered on the roads.

Many buildings developed cracks, some destroyed and people jumped from their house windows.

Nepal cities also affected by Earthquake jolts and police claimed three people were killed including a motorcycle rider and his eight years old daughter.

The Earthquake Epicenter in Nepal 270 kilometers west of the country.

A budget speech in Nepal’s parliament was delayed for 15 minutes while lawmakers leapt to their feet and fled the chamber as the entire building shook.

The quake was followed by two strong aftershocks, one with a magnitude of 6.1.

India:  Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called an emergency meeting of the National Disaster Management Authority, and Cabinet Secretary Ajit Seth said that air force planes transportation rescue teams and relief supplies had been dispatched to Sikkim.

Strong shake were felt in Guwahati, the main city in Assam state, some 600 kilometers away, sending dread residents running into the streets.

Katmandu details about earthquake, traffic came to a standstill as hotels and bars were empty.

Hundreds of worried tourists and residents waited for news in car parks and on the streets as the seasonal monsoon rain lashed down.

In Bhutan, buildings in the capital Thimphu were also rocked.
