Pakistan News / Bajur Agency – Tribes trying Safe Recovery of kidnapped boys > For safe recovery of the 30 kidnapped boys, who mistakenly crossed into Afghanistan`s troubling province Kunar from Tehsil Mamond of Bajaur Agency, the Mamond tribes constituted a 30-member grand Jirga to talk with the concerned quarters in Kunar, Afghanistan, E Pakistan News Reported.
The grand Jirga decided to talk with the administration of Kunar province besides they also demanded to take action against insurgents kidnapped the 25 boys hailing from different part of the Tehsil Mamond, Bajaur Agency.
There were also reports that Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed the responsibility for abducting young boys who accidentally crossed the Pak-Afghan border while picnicking on Eid.
However, there were other reports that militants reportedly released those below 10 years of age and detained the remaining 30.
The boys in different groups were busy in cooking and walking in the area as part of their picnic to Ghakhi Pass, some 40 km to the northwest of Kunar town, the administrative headquarters of Bajaur Agency, when they crossed into Afghanistan territory.
Before forming the grand Jirga, a local Jirga was also held on Saturday in Tehsil Mamond, Bajaur Agency in which elders and elite of the area, and official of the civil and political administration took part.
The Jirga urged upon unifying efforts for safe return of the kidnapped boys.
They also condemned those kidnapped the youngsters.
They Jirga termed it an inhuman act of the Afghanistan based militants. With such like activities would lead to negative impact on the Pak-Afghan brotherly relation, the elders of the Jirga said.
The boys have innocents and they mistakenly crossed over to Afghanistan during the picnic party on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, the elders said.
The Jirga constituted for safe return of the kidnapped boys have decided to go to Kunar province and will meet there with its administration, elders of the area so that they could not only expedite their activities but would take concrete steps in this connection.
Meanwhile, the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed the responsibility for abducting 30 young boys who accidentally crossed the Pak-Afghan border while picnicking on Eid Day.
A spokesperson of TTP Ihsan Ullah Ihsan phone from undisclosed location to media men , said that they have hands in kidnapping the children as their parents and tribal elders are helping the government and are fighting against us, and if found innocents the decision about their release would be made in Shura.
