Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – KP Budget session 2011–12 details

Pakistan News: Peshawar/ Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – KP Budget session 2011–12 details > Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Budget session 2011 – 12 declared in KP Assembly. The Speaker Karamatullah Khan was chaired in KP Assembly on Friday.

Finance Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Hamayun Khan was presented the budget for the year of 2011 to 2012.

The Budget speech was attended by the all Provincial Ministers, MPA’s and the parliamentary leaders of political parties.

In the budget speech the security was full high alert and covered the area of KP Assembly.

Before the speech, a special meeting was held in the cabinet on Saturday where the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ameer Haidar hoti approved the Budget estimate of the session 2011 to 2012.

In this meeting they also discussed ADP – Annual Development Programme and approved for session 2011 to 2012.

The Cabinet also approved the revised budget estimates 2011-12. Provincial Ministers, Chief Secretary, Chief Secretary and other administrative secretaries attended the meeting.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa - KP Budget session 2011–12 detailsThe government has allocated billions Rs.85.1410 ADP 2011-12. The total share of the provincial government of ADP is Rs.69.283 billion which is 15 percent more than Rs.60 billion in the last year.

The programs of provincial development include 1035 projects including 403 and 632. An important part of a 32 per cent of the funds intended for social sector, while nine percent were earmarked for health.

Khan said Rs.6467.00 million were allocated for the field of health IT. The Finance Minister said that of 122 new health sector projects, 88 are ongoing and 34 new projects.

He said that the headquarters of the district hospital, Kohat would be upgraded to category A hospitals and clinics and upgradation of eight RHCs will be completed.

In addition, two C class hospitals will be completed in 2011-12 and 40,000 TB patients and 800 cancer patients would be provided free treatment.

The minister added that the foundation of a house that was built for patients with mental disabilities in the provincial capital. Meanwhile, Rs.70.80 million budget was spent on the promotion of minorities.
