Pakistan News Karachi: Pakistan has called on the five-year bans imposed on Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif Mohammad Amir and corruption, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ijaz Butt said on Saturday.
“The PCB has no jurisdiction to challenge the ban of these three players, because it is a matter directly between the players and the International Cricket Council (ICC) anti-corruption tribunal,” said Butt.
An ICC tribunal found the trio guilty of creating the organization on Saturday for the provision of discussion without bullets in the fourth test against England last August.
Former ICC president Ehsan Mani criticized the PCB for addressing this issue.
“I think the PCB could not handle this problem properly and did not bother to lead all players. While the bans are necessary to discourage corruption in cricket Ijaz Butt as morally I should resign immediately,” said Mani.
