IMF team due in Pakistan for reforms review

Pakistan News: A delegation of International Monetary Fund (IMF) is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan today to hold talks on economic reforms and release of the last tranche of the $ 11.3 billion package.

IMF Pakistan NewsThe IMF team will include Adnan Mazari, the Fund’s mission chief to Paksitan, and Masood Khan. The visiting delegation will hold meetings with political leadership and government’s economic team and try to persuade them for quick implementation of the reforms’ commitments.

The government has also completed its home work on the issue.

Two sides are likely to set a timeframe for approval of the reformed general sales tax (RGST) Bill from the Parliament.
