KARACHI: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Sunday announced that partial curfew would be imposed in certain areas of Karachi due to the recent incidents of violence and target killing.
The minister said that pillion riding will be banned in tense areas of Karachi and those people passing by in those localities will have to show their ID cards to security officials.
Malik said that some target killers had been arrested and were being interrogated.
He also said that the security condition in Karachi will improve within in a few days.
He blamed the violence on a third party, which he said was trying to create rifts between PPP, MQM and ANP.
